About Tai Chi |

Over two thousand years ago, in Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD), the famous Chinese doctor Hua Tuo first introduced Wu Qin Xi (The five mimic-animals boxing) as a form of exercise. In the Sung Dynasty 960 – 1279AD, Zhang San Fung created Tai Chi Quan. Throughout those years, Qi Gong had developed and branched out to numerous other styles. Even the five major divisions of Tai Chi, had divided into hundreds of other. There are lots to be discussed and researched on the topic of how the Tai Chi has been divided. In here, we are only concentrate on the practical effect of our courses. |

Tai Chi – meaning Universe. In ancient China, people believed that the universe created the sun and moon, thus the four seasons, these elements kept the growth in balance. Lives changed endlessly and vigorously due to the continuous orbit of the universe. Therefore, this fitness exercise was named Tai Chi Quan. In the ancient days, people already had the concept of longevity is due to exercises. Tai Chi originated from Taoism, (one of the 3 major religions in China). The Yin and Yang symbol of Taoism was used as the emblem of Tai Chi. Taoism’s main aim is to reach longevity. |



Outline of Qi Gong |

“Qi”, in Chinese means breathing, “Gong” is exercise. Qi Gong means ‘Breathing Exercise’. The objective is to direct the normal chest breathing to the skull (Tian Ning 天灵)and diaphragm (,Dan Tian丹田). Qi Gong can be divided into two types – dynamic & static types. Their main aim is to increase the blood circulation, increase lung capacity, to enable in depth oxygen intake and through breathing out of the carbon dioxide to release toxins from inside of the body, thus resulting in improved metabolism |

Qi Gong 18 style |
Originated from Shengzhen Qi Gong school, Dr. Lin Huozhen. Through practice limbs and body movements in order to direct the breathing from the chest into the diaphragm. These exercises are accessible to all ages and physical abilities, they are easy to learn and produce results quickly when practiced regularly. |
Tai Chi 24 style |
Originated from Beijing Sport College. Basic Tai Chi Quan taught widely in China and the rest of the world. |
Yang 48 style |
Originated from Beijing Yang style Tai Chi Quan 5th generation Master Qian Yuenzhe. Traditional Tai Chi Quan. The movement is relaxing, composed, classic and elegant. It suits beginners and intermediate students. |
Tai Chi 13 sword |
Traditional Tai Chi sword. Basic step and skill of sword practice in Chinese swordsmanship. This form introduces the student to the etiquette of sword play, how to hold the sword, the basic stances and the basic sword techniques, i.e.: stab, chop, sweep, point, draw back etc. |
Dragon Sword (Chang Sui Sword) |
Dragon Sword (Chang Sui Sword): Normal Tai Chi sword doesn’t use Chang Sui. (Long tassel sword). Based on many years of Tai Chi, and dance choreography experiences, Mrs. Li compiled this special Dragon Sword. It is a combination and blending of the skill of Chang Sui sword, Tai Chi sword, and the grouping of sword practicing and sword dancing. It is also divided into self practicing and duelling. The whole set of swordsmanship is lively and flowing, providing a sensation of moving dragon. |

Originated from Beijing Sport College Vice Professor Li Yang. A combination of Tai Chi, fan method and martial art skill. |
Lui Tong Quan |
Originated from Master Ma Zhibin, Chairman of Sport Committee. Guangdong province. It is combination exercises of Tai Chi, Qi Gong and massage and is a keep fit exercise. |
